Skies and washes really are at the heart of every beautiful watercolour. In the full Watercolour Secrets course I show you how to master a basic flat wash and progress from there. But I wanted to show you here that even a dramatic sky like this isn't difficult... but it is very rewarding to paint!

My personal favorite is the moonlit sky tutorial because the final painting appears so intricate and complex. But they are nearly always surprised (very pleasantly) when they have a go.
