Who is Watercolour Secrets for? Is it suitable for beginners?
A. Watercolour Secrets is for beginner to intermediate artists. In fact, if you're a complete beginner you might not even class yourself as an "artist" yet but rest assured the course is definitely for you.

It's the only full step-by-step watercolour painting course I know of. You get more tuition on more subject matter than you would on a week-long 1-to-1 painting break... at a small fraction of the cost.

I wouldn't recommend the course to very advanced artists and professionals but they probably won't be searching for watercolour painting instruction anyway.

What does Watercolour Secrets cover exactly?
A. Click here for my quick video explanation. Watercolour Secrets covers all the major elements in watercolour landscape painting, such as:

  • Equipment, materials and colour mixing
  • Skies and clouds
  • Mountains, hills, cliffs and rocks
  • Trees and foliage (in various seasons
  • Water & Reflections (including inland water and seascapes
  • Buildings and building textures
  • Figures & Animals

Watercolour Secrets is designed to be everything you require to paint great landscapes at your own learning pace... no matter what level you're starting from.

Is Watercolour Secrets available as a book or online videos?
A. Watercolour Secrets contains too much tution to practically put into a book. The book would also be very expensive to print and costly to ship (because of its size and weight). We no longer offer the course as an online version - it is only available in DVD format.

What payment types and currencies do you accept?
A. We accept all Visa, Mastercard credit/debit cards. We cannot accept Amex, Discover and Maestro cards directly, but you can pay with those cards via Paypal (you do NOT have to have an existing Paypal account to do this). To pay by AMex, Discover or Maestro, simply click the yellow Paypal button on the order form and follow the on-screen instructions.

We accept most major currencies. The price you see on the order form will be in US Dollars, however your credit/debit card provider will automatically convert it to your currency during the transaction. On your credit card or bank statement, the price will show up in your currency.

We've added a currency converter to the order page so you can quickly see exactly how much the DVDs cost in your currency, before you order.

Why do you charge in US Dollars when Bob is from the UK?
A. Unfortunately, we're only able to display one currency on the order form. We've chosen Us Dollars because, despite being based in the Uk, the majority of our customers (70%) are from the USA.

Although the price is displayed in dollars, your credit/debit card company will automatically convert the amount into your native currency. We've also added a chart and currency converter to the order form so that you can see exactly how much the course is in your money.

How long do the DVDs take to ship?
A. We dispatch all courses within 1 working day of the order being placed.

Delivery to the UK usually takes about 2-3 days but please allow up to 7 days for delivery.

Delivery to the USA, Canada and Australasia usually takes 7-10 days. However, because we use each country's postal system to keep shipping costs to a minimum, sometimes an order can get held up at customs. For international orders please allow 28 days for delivery, but expect it much sooner.

Delivery to mainland Europe usually takes 5-7 days. However, please allow up to 14 days.

Will I be charged import duty if I live outside the UK?
A. In our experience this is very rare and highly unlikely to affect you if you live outside the UK. If you are charged an import duty it will be small - no more than a couple of dollars (US dollars) at most, or the equivalent in your currency. We have no control over this and the fee goes to the importing country's Customs department NOT us. Again, it will only affect a very small minority of people and the duty will be small if it does occur.

Will the DVDs work on my DVD player?
A. Almost certainly - wherever you live in the world. A very small number of old DVD players may have trouble but we've only encountered this once or twice across thousands of orders over the last 3 years. Rest assured that if the DVDs didn't work on your player, we'd send out a replacement.

Do you offer any guarantee or refund policy?
A. Yes we do and we hope you think it's one of the fairest you'll find anywhere. You can try Watercolour Secrets for 60 days (starting the day you recive it, not the day you order) and see if it's for you. If you don't feel it's worth every penny or if it's just not what you're looking for, we insist you a request full refund.

The only risk you take is on the return shipping (which we can't refund unfortunately). However, to compensate and as a thank you for giving Watercolour Secrets a try, you can keep the bonus Drawing For Painting with our compliments.
